Summa, Summa Time!

So Kelsey and I have a few trips planned for this summer and we started off by going down to Virginia Beach with a few of my friends and my Sister in law Lindsey. There were 5 of us girls and we each brought our little ones so there were 5 kiddos running around (and 2 more in bellies waiting for their turn) and we had a GREAT time! The rental we had was fantastic, it had a huge front room for all the kids to play in, was 2 blocks from the beach and had a pool out back for us to play in.

Kelsey all ready for a swim!

Her little buddy Liam... only 6 weeks apart.

Liam, Kelsey and Riley all playing together in the baby pool. All born withing 8 weeks of eachother.

Kelsey all tired out from playing outside all day.

Aunt Lindsey and her favorite cousin Camden. She ADORES him. She follows him around everywhere and wants to see everything he does.

All the kiddos and mamas at the beach.

Woo hoo.. check out that beach! We love the water!

Love this little girl!

Playing in the water...

Going for a swim! Good practice for our next trip..... LAKE POWELL!!!

Easter Pictures

So I am obviously a horrible blogger... its only been 6 months!! What?!?! Wow time is going fast! For my Birthday Sean had one of his friends take some pictures of our family...mostly just Kelsey but Sean and I made it into a few as well. I cant beleive how big she is... 9 months in these pictures but almost 11 months now!! We are doing really well, Kelsey is the center of our lives and she is a happy healthy baby who smiles a lot (although apparently not for the camera). We are so blessed to have her in our lives and look forward to each day we have with her.

She is such a mama's girl. She absolutely loves people and is not shy at all. She will go right up to anyone to check them out or see what they are doing, but if I am around... she is with me... almost always. I love it and I hate it... I love watching her play with other people. Its just a phase, I know in a little bit she is going to be such a daddy's girl and I am going to look back on these days longingly. But until then :)

My cute girl... she looks so old here!

We love the Holidays!

My Good friend Alia took these adorable pictures of Kelsey infront of her tree.

Its so hard to catch her smiling! Whenever there is a camera around she is always fixated on it and wont smile... this one is from the side but you can still see her cute face!

Kelsey's Arrival!

Our little girl is finally here!

July 8th I went in for one of my regular check ups. I was 4 cm dilated and 80% effaced but since I wasn't having any real contractions she sent me home telling me that if I started having any to call right away. I went back to work but by lunch time I was having pretty consistant back pain. I waited 30 mins and called Sean and my doctor. We went back in and she decided to admit me. We drove to the hospital, were going to have our baby!!

Ready to go at 28 Weeks 1 Day

Contractions 2 mins apart, right before they broke my water.
I was admitted at 1 pm. I walked around trying to get things going. Finally (after almost sending me home)They broke my water and I got my epidural at about 5 pm. By 4:30 a.m. I was 10 cms and ready to push. My wonderful OBGYN waited around and stayed on her day off to deliver our baby. She got there and I pushed for about 30 mins. At 5:12 a.m Kelsey Neumann was born, 8 lbs 3 oz. and 21 inches long!

Proud Daddy!

Exhusted but oh so happy mama!

Our new little family.. we do good work!

Ready to go home!! She looks so little in her car seat.

So ready to go home...ready to start our new life

Our BIG, Little Girl!

So every week I get e-mails from all of these different baby sites updating me on what our little baby is doing that week, what is developing, how big she is, how long, etc. Last week I was 29 weeks and I got an e-mail saying "your baby is getting bigger, she is almost 3 pounds!!" The next day I had a Dr. Appointment and ultra sound where they measured how big she was (by measuring her bones, skull etc.). She is 3 Pounds 12 Ounces!!! I am measuring at 31.5 weeks, almost 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Now 12 ounces doesnt seem like much, but considering she is going to be gaining a 1/2 a pound every week from here on out for 11 more weeks... thats 5 1/2 more pounds (if she stays on track which she hasn't yet!) That would put her at almost 10 Pounds just growing normally!

One of my best friends, Dani, Just had a baby... she was in labor for 6 mins!! I asked her what the trick was... She said, dont marry someone who produces big babies. I guess I missed that boat!

Big or not, we are SOOO excited for our little girl to get here. We know it will be a big change in our lives but it is a change that we are very excited for. I'm sure there are going to be many ups and downs and good times and hard times, but we just cant wait for this new little life to come! Every night in our prayers we say thank you for sending her to us and we are trying to get ourselves as ready as possible.

We finally finished her room and I washed and put all of her clothes away so it will be all ready for her when she gets here. We went out and bought a really nice padded rocking chair that lays back and I am soo excited about it! If Sean doesnt know where I am, he can usually find me up in her room in that chair. Its Super comfortable and I am sure I will be speding plenty of time in it in the coming months.
