The Day for Lovers!!

I got him a new leather brief case for his new job. He is going to look so professional.... and HOTT!! I think he really liked it.

He took me to a really nice dinner at Congressional Country Club and after, we watched the slam dunk contest.. yup... a great day! I love you baby!!

The ZOO!!

So last week Sean and I decided that while we didnt have jobs and had a little extra free time.... we would go visit the sites and sounds of Washington D.C.!! We made a list of all the things we wanted to do and today was the first stop.... The National Zoo!!! The weather today was really warm so we wanted to take advantage of it.

We both HATE snakes!! But it is so amazing how HUGE these anacondas are!! Their bodies are as wide as basketballs!!

A lot of the animals were not out and about becuase of the cold winter weather in D.C. but the weather doesnt seem to bother these sea lions! The tow of them were just there being lazy and basking in the sun.

These monkeys were so cute!! Just playing around and staring at us. Here are a few more of the friends we made today...

The Cheetahs are there were georgous!! Their skins are just beautiful! And the way this park is set up we got to be so close to them!

This one just paced back and forth along the wall watching people walk by. You can see the path that he has made from doing it all day every day.

A New Start

We have been in Virginia for about a month now, and let me tell you, it has been one crazy month! But we are here and we feel like this is the place for us and we have been really blessed! Let me tell you a little of what has happened over the past 4 weeks.
We used a moving van to drive our stuff across the country... I'm not going to mention any names! While on the road we had a few adventures with our new truck that included some major sparking and a tire that burst and an early night in a hotel. But we got those fixed and kept on truckin' (he he, no pun intended!). When we got here and were putting our stuff in storage we got to the back of the truck to find that there was a leak and our mattress and our couch were soaked with water! Luckily the company was very understanding and made sure we were taken care of.. but the whole process took about three weeks and I am so glad to have it done with!
Last week a friend of the family hired us to take care of their 3 kids while they went on a business trip to Mexico for a week. The kids were 15, 13 and 10 and Sean and I had so much fun! The kids were absolutely incredible and so much fun to watch! They kept us busy with all their la cross, baseball and basketball practices and guitar lessons. We loved being so busy and going to see all their games, it reminded us of our families when we were growing up. What a job! I would do that full time if I could! Anyways we were sad when their parents came back and we had to leave, but promised we would come watch some more of their games and keep in touch.
Now to the thing that has kept us most occupied... the JOB SEARCH. Can I tell you that looking for a job, especially in an economy like this one, is NO FUN! We both have been to so many interviews and asked so many questions. But I guess it has all paid off because on Thursday Sean got a Job offer!! We are so excited because he really likes what he will be doing and there is a lot of room for growth for him personally and professionally. We feel so blessed to have found something when everyday in the news you hear about people getting laid off of work. We know that we are supposed to be out here and we are looking forward to the future!
As for me, I am still looking. I had tree interviews this past week and they all sounded positive. One lady I interviewed with told me she had 500 applicants!!! That is crazy! But I must have done pretty well because I have a second interview with her next week... I will keep you updated!
We are so happy to be in Virginia and starting this new phase of our life, moving forward and making new friends out here. We miss our old friends and hope they know that we miss them AND that they are always welcome to come visit! Love you guys!
